Zach Tanner was a young boy whose father, Lieutenant Commander Alex Tanner was kidnapped and held hostage by people seeking information on Project Honor.

Despite his youthfulness, Zach proved to be a worthy asset to the team and got along with most of the team members although he didn't get along with Anthony DiNozzo.

After the kidnappers were all brought to justice, Zach was reunited with his father at last.
