JAG Season 8[]
Tommy made his first and only appearance in the JAG Season 8/NCIS backdoor pilot episode, Ice Queen (episode) where he was first seen attempting to hit a target with an arrow.
Unfortunately, due to his nerves, he missed it with the arrow disappearing into the lower forest area. This earned him mockery from his fellow Boy Scouts with one young boy, Marcus wondering if Tommy had been aiming for Maryland while the Scoutmaster informed Tommy he would never get his archery pin that way.
As the Scoutmaster and his unnamed adult colleague collected the arrows, Tommy was dispatched to retrieve the arrow he'd sent down the hill.
Heading into the woodlands, Tommy continued searching for his arrow, only to find it now embedded in the back of a badly decayed corpse with Tommy being left horrified at the discovery.
Eventually, the crime scene was sealed off with State Troops taking charge of it while agents from NCIS were dispatched to the scene to investigate further.
Left shocked, Tommy sat alone in a corner and presumably remained like that until NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the agent in charge of the NCIS Major Case Response Team arrived and spoke to him.
Despite Gibbs's assurances it was over, Tommy disagreed, voicing his concern that he would be dreaming about the woman.
Gibbs then asked Tommy to close his eyes and had Tommy doing so while vowing he wouldn't dream about her.
Upon that ending, Tommy opened his eyes with Gibbs praising him for it.
As that happened, Gibbs took off the NCIS cap he'd been wearing and placed it onto Tommy's head with the cap itself also having a small golden badge on it.
With Gibbs then leaving, Tommy wondered what to do if he had a nightmare with Gibbs assuring him they had already taken care of it and urging Tommy to come to see where Gibbs worked, maybe even bring some friends too so Gibbs could give them a tour.
Once Gibbs had left, Tommy's fellow boyscouts descended on the area, one even remarking that it was awesome as Tommy showed them his new NCIS cap.
