Timothy "Tim" Kerry was a Major in the United States Marine Corps who became the second and final victim of an al-Qaeda assassin who intended to kill the President.
NCIS Season 1Edit
During Yankee White (episode), Kerry was originally supposed to have been the primary handler charged with carrying and protecting "the football," the case containing the launch codes for the United States nuclear arsenal but later contracted a stomach virus, leaving him unable to do so.
In his absence, Commander Ray Trapp became the new handler for the football although Trapp was unknowingly being poisoned by a venom from a highly toxic Australian snake and subsequently died after returning from having lunch with the President of the United States.
As such, NCIS were called to investigate the death.
Meanwhile, Kerry having made a full recovery due to the stomach virus being nothing more than a 24 hour bug met Kate where she told him that they needed to end their relationship.
Seconds after Kate had left, Major Kerry went to sit in his car and almost immediately, suffered a fatal stroke that was brought about by the numerous Emboli caused by the venom with his body later being found by Metro Police who informed NCIS of the development.
His death was also similar to that of Commander Trapp and Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs was able to stop the assassin from killing the President.
In the aftermath of his demise, Kate later resigned from the Secret Service for good, joining NCIS where she remained there as a Special Agent up until she was murdered at the hands of a terrorist and enemy of the NCIS team in the Season 2 finale, Twilight (episode).
