So It Goes is the third episode of Season Twelve of NCIS and the 261st episode of the entire NCIS series.

Synopsis

The victim in NCIS's latest murder case reveals a potential connection to Ducky's estranged childhood best friend. As such, Ducky and Bishop travel to London to interview the victim's family and co-workers while Ducky reflects on the choices he made in the past and how they've ultimately affected his entire life while back in D.C., Gibbs, Tony and McGee continue investigating the case but soon discover that the case is not as simple as originally thought....

Prologue

A lone car drives through the countryside.

In the car, Samuel Colpepper remarks that yes, he's almost there and another half an hour. He tells the man to relax and that everything's going according to plan.

As this goes on, a pair of binoculars show that the car is being spied on as Colpepper states that he's been to the Smithsonian, Mount Vernon and a dreadful abomination called Foamhenge.

It then shows that a man wearing a mask is busy examining the car while a black van sits parked behind the mysterious man.

Colpepper states that if anyone's following him, they'll think he's just sightseeing and that they're good.

"Foamhenge?", his caller wonders.

Meanwhile, the masked man ducks, dropping the binoculars before grabbing a rocket launcher.

Colpepper states that Foamhenge is an actual replica of Stonehenge except that it's all made of foam and that it's a pure disaster, just when he thinks he's seen everything.

In the bushes, the masked man takes aim with the rocket launcher and then fires it seconds later.

In the car, Colpepper sees the lone rocket approaching and goes, "Oh, dear", having realized that he's about to die.

It then cuts to show a huge explosion as the rocket then hits its target, killing Colpepper immediately.
