SynopsisEdit

The team investigate a charred body found in a campfire and they're stunned when they discover who the body is with Gibbs suspecting that the death was an act of revenge against him. Meanwhile, following the revelation in Borderland (episode), Abby tries to get Gibbs to open up about what happened in Mexico but their relationship is pushed to breaking point due to Gibbs's refusal to share anything whatsoever, forcing Abby to intervene to get Gibbs to listen to her.

Major EventsEdit

• The team discover a charred corpse is that of Special Agent Lara Macy and begin an investigation into her murder.
• It is revealed that Macy left the LA Office under "special circumstances", meaning that she could have left after G. Callen was gravely injured in a drive-by shooting at the end of the Season 6 episode, Legend Part 2 (episode).
• It's revealed that a year has passed since the events in Legend Part 1 (episode) and Legend Part 2 (episode).
• Gibbs heads to Mexico and discovers that Mike Franks's house has been burned to the ground and several bodies of Bell's men.
• Gibbs ends up being knocked unconscious by an anonymous henchman who reveals that what was thought to be Franks's body is actually that of Col. Bell.

TriviaEdit

• "Ain't No Grave (Gonna Hold This Body Down)" by Johnny Cash is the song heard playing in the background as Gibbs rides across the beach and eventually arrives at Franks's burned house.
• Interestingly, after Dean knocks Gibbs out, the usual freeze-frame end shot isn't seen as the screen just goes black and then, the Foof sound is heard seconds later.
