Synopsis

While the team investigates the death of a former investigative assistant who was profiting from information concerning a high-profile fraud case, a new NCIS agent who's also the leader of another team joins the office.

Prologue

The scene opens with two lovestruck teenagers glancing at each other while listening to a song on the iPod.

Seconds later, the two begin kissing although it's interrupted by a man who shouts "Hey" at them.

"Ahem", Jason remarks.

Lauren just looks upset.

The Corvette Guy tells them to get a room.

As he gets into the car and drives off, Jason yells that the guy's a jerk which has Lauren remarking that he's her hero.

As Jason attempts to kiss her again, Lauren insists that they should get back to the party.

"Yeah. Okay", Jason remarks.

Lauren chuckles.

As they head into the parking area, Lauren wonders how long they've been gone.

It then shows the two of them beginning to hold hands with Jason admitting that he doesn't know and that time kind of stopped.

"Ha ha", Lauren says. "Are you being serious?".

"Totally", Jason admits. "My sincerity and sarcasm sound shockingly similar".

He then falls, causing Lauren to laugh.

On the ground, Jason wonders if that's what it takes and says that he's been trying to get a laugh out of Lauren all night.

Lauren giggles again and wonders if that's what Jason's been going for.

"Yeah", Jason says.

He can't help but examine the puddle with Jason assuming it's motor oil. He also thinks that the car is leaking.

"Let me turn it on", Lauren says, grabbing her cell-phone.

Taking her cell-phone, Jason crawls underneath the car.

Lauren then realizes that it isn't oil.

She then asks Jason what is it.

It then cuts to underneath the car where it's shown that's a man lying there.

This has Jason dropping the phone and fleeing in fright.
