Lina Reyes is a Special Agent with the FBI who collaborated with the NCIS Major Case Response Team on the case involving the assassination attempt made on the life of Lieutenant Commader Michaela Shields, USN.
Reyes was the FBI Special Agent in charge of the investigation into the assassination attempt made by an Al-Qaeda affiliated group on the life of Lieutenant Commander Shields following her exoneration on charges that she intentionally bombed a civilian target that resulted in the death of civilians while serving in Afghanistan.
From the moment she was introduced, Reyes was shown to be very snobby, arrogant and holding a strong belief that the only thing NCIS was good for was guarding Miki Shields and her family while the FBI handled the investigation of tracking down the terrorists responsible.
Like Vivian Blackadder, Reyes was shown to be more focused on ensuring that some members of the terrorist group were captured, instead of the Shields family being protected even if it meant that they were killed in the process. She even sent five FBI agents in two unmarked white vans to tail Tony and Kate who were out jogging with Shields.
This later drew Kate's anger as she demanded that NCIS should have been read into the program but Reyes insisted that the operation was need-to-know for the FBI only, not NCIS.
