|Last Man Standing||Credits||Transcript|
Last Man Standing is the 114th episode in NCIS and the first episode in Season Six. This is also the first-ever episode to feature Rocky Carroll (Leon Vance) in the opening credits. As such, Carroll also becomes a series regular and a member of the main cast, having been part of the guest cast since his debut appearance in the Season 5 episode, Internal Affairs (episode).
A Petty Officer is found dead in his home and the death is seemingly connected to Director Vance's decision to break up Gibbs's original team four months earlier with Gibbs discovering that the reason for doing it was simple: Vance suspects that one of Gibbs's new team-members is a mole, responsible for selling secrets to possible enemies of the U.S but not everything is what it seems...
The episode opens with a recap of what happened in the last few minutes of the Season 5 finale episode, Judgment Day Part 2 (episode) and ends with Leroy Jethro Gibbs getting a new team after his original one composing of Special Agents Anthony DiNozzo and Timothy McGee along with NCIS/Mossad Liaison Officer Ziva David are reassigned elsewhere by newly appointed NCIS Director Leon Vance.
In a small bar in Morocoo, the first few chords of Tom's Waits "Temptation" are being heard as the singer performs a few seductive moves. She turns her head around and as she starts singing, it's shown that the person in question is none other than Ziva.
As she moves across the area, interacting herself with her audience, even with her Mossad partner, Michael Rivkin, she continues singing but as the crowd begin drifting away, it's obvious that something isn't right. Despite this, Ziva keeps on singing but then notices a single suitcase lying abandoned on the floor which promptly explodes, creating one giant blast and sending everyone running for crowd while Ziva herself ducks for cover.
