Internal Affairs is the 108^th episode of NCIS and the fourteenth episode in Season Five.

SynopsisEdit

La Grenouille's body is discovered and as such, the FBI puts the entire Washington D.C branch of NCIS under investigation with Jenny Shepard emerging as their top suspect while Gibbs meets someone from Tony's past who has arrived back in D.C.

Major EventsEdit

• The team learn that La Grenouille is dead, having been murdered after suffering a single gunshot wound to the head.
• The FBI head to NCIS HQ to conduct an investigation into La Grenouille's murder.
• Leon Vance, assistant Director of NCIS is introduced for the first time.
• Director Shepard is temporarily suspended, resulting in Vance becoming the Acting Director of NCIS.
• Jeanne Benoit, La Grenouille's daughter reappears and it is revealed that she blames Tony for her father's death.
• Trent Kort arrives at the Navy Yard and claims responsibility for La Grenouille's demise. It is also revealed that he has taken over La Grenouille's business.
• It is implied that Director Shepard herself might have been the one who killed La Grenouille.
