Edwin Smith was an escaped prisoner aboard the USS Niagra.
Biography
Pre-Series
Born in Canada, Smith worked as an engineer on a cruise ship with Smith putting in eight years of service.
Some time prior to the events in Honor Thy Father (episode), Smith was imprisoned on the USS Niagra under charges of terrorism although Smith was one of the very few on aboard to not have any prior links with the terrorist group, the Brotherhood of Doubt.
