• It's revealed that Palmer emails his mother regularly.
• Palmer possesses a great degree of courage and demonstrates it by his willingness to chase a suspect and later to prevent him from escaping by disabling the suspect's car, although, the latter incident earns him a rebuke from Gibbs.
