Abigail Borin is a Special Agent in the Coast Guard Investigative Service - CGIS.
Biography[]
Pre-Series[]
Originally from an unnamed small town in Ohio, Borin was also an only child and attended Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio. When she was in college, she played softball.
She also served a tour of duty in Iraq as a Sergeant (E-5) with the United States Marine Corps and during her time in Iraq, she lost her significant other which left her devastated and later caused her to retire from the Marines for good.
Some point after that, she later joined CGIS where she later rose through the ranks, eventually getting the opportunity to lead her own team and becoming a CGIS Agent.
NCIS Season 7[]
Borin made her debut appearance in the Season 7 episode, Jurisdiction when NCIS and CGIS had conflicting jurisdiction. She and her probie worked the case cooperativly with the NCIS team.
NCIS Season 8[]
She again makes an appearance in Ships in the Night (episode) when she is on a blind date onboard a boat when Jeremy Nolan marine is killed. She was the last person to see the victim alive, and helps the team solve the case.
NCIS Season 9[]
She makes her 4th appearance in Season 9 Episode 8 Safe Harbor NCIS and CGIS conduct a joint-investigation when a Coast Guard officer is shot dead during a nighttime examination of a mysterious ship with the NCIS team soon discovering that Lebanese family has been secretly stowing away on the ship and begin questioning them but some of the family are not who they claim to be. Things later take a turn for the worse when Abby discovers evidence suggesting that a potentially devastating terrorist attack is about to happen, one that if successful could completely destroy half of the Norfolk Naval Base while Tony, McGee and Ziva with Borin's help attempt to find the right woman for Gibbs.
NCIS Season 10[]
She makes an appearance in Season 10 Episode 4 Lost at Sea After three members of a helicopter crew wash ashore after spending four days adrift at sea, the NCIS team along with GCIS agent Abigail Borin investigate, determined to figure out what actually happened but when the missing pilot is later found dead, having been shot, the team dig deeper to find out a motive for the death while Ziva challenges both Tony and McGee to a dare.
NCIS Season 11[]
She makes her 6th appearance in Season 11 Episode 6 Oil and Water A suspicious explosion on board an oil rig which results in the death of a Marine has NCIS reuniting with the Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS), most notably CGIS agent Abigail Borin as they seek to investigate and determine who is responsible for the explosion while the NCIS team find themselves being targeted by a mysterious prankster.
NCIS Season 12[]
Her 7th and final appearance was in Season 12 Episode 5 The San Dominick During a joint Coast Guard and NCIS training exercise which is being conducted at sea, Gibbs and CGIS Agent Borin spot a dead man overboard who is later discovered to be a missing crew member from a ship sixty nautical miles away. Seeking answers, NCIS and CGIS launch a joint investigation with Gibbs later arriving on the ship, the San Dominick and discovering that the ship itself has apparently been taken over by a group of pirates but all is not what it seems.
Whenever she appears in the series she appears to be the female version of Gibbs, which the NCIS team members find both funny and confusing. She is straight to the point, impatient with a lot of integrity and passion for her job.
