Abigail Borin is a Special Agent of the Coast Guard Investigative Service (CGIS).
Originally from an unnamed small town in Ohio, Borin was also an only child and attended Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio.
She also served a tour of duty in Iraq as a Sergeant (E-5) with the United States Marine Corps and during her time in Iraq, she lost her significant other which left her devastated and later caused her to retire from the Marines for good.
Some point after that, she later joined CGIS where she later rose through the ranks, eventually getting the opportunity to lead her own team and becoming a CGIS Agent.
NCIS Season 7
In March 2010, while investigating the house of a suspect during the Season 7 episode, Jurisdiction (episode), Borin and her partner, CGIS agent Kyle Omagi met NCIS Special Agents Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Anthony DiNozzo and after some disagreements, the two teams began to work together whenever they met each other, a trait that has continued to this day.
NCIS Season 8
Borin reappeared in the Season 8 episode, Ships in the Night (episode).
NCIS Season 9
Borin returned in the Season 9 episode, Safe Harbor (episode).
NCIS Season 10
Borin appeared in the episode Lost at Sea (episode).
NCIS Season 11
In the Season 11 episode, Oil and Water (episode), after helping Gibbs and the team solve an oil rig bombing, Borin hinted that she would like to apply to NCIS sometime in the future.
She also gave Gibbs her condolences on the recent resignation and departure of former NCIS Special Agent Ziva David and revealed that she had lost her other half while serving as a Marine in Iraq with the case itself greatly affecting Borin.
NCIS Season 12
Borin appeared in the Season 12 episode, The San Dominick (episode).
NCIS: New Orleans Season 1
Borin first appeared in the NCIS: New Orleans Season 1 episode, "The Abyss" where she was first seen interrogating a smuggler on a board a vessel belonging to the United States Navy where she later revealed that she had been on the boat for two weeks, interrogating smugglers and drug runners.
She later assisted the NCIS New Orleans Team led by agent Dwayne Cassius Pride with a case concerning a homicide on a boat concerning two civilians, Mark Post and Cindy Rutberg who had been shot dead. She also helped with the disappearance of Anna Huntley, the daughter of Navy Admiral Adam Huntley.
She then returned in the episode, "The Walking Dead" where she helped the team investigate the case of Navy Lieutenant Gabriel Lin who had been lethally poisoned with radiation.
Borin's final appearance in NCIS: New Orleans came in the Season 1 episode, "Rock-A-Bye-Baby" where she helped the team search for a missing baby girl, Lulu belonging to a Navy Commander, Josh Newman and his husband, Marlon Hart.
Like former Gunnery Sergeant-turned-NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Borin possess the same attitude and personality as Gibbs as she often headslaps her colleagues.
She also displays gut feelings and doesn't believe in any kind of coincidence whatsoever.
In addition, Born also loves coffee and like Gibbs, has her own set of rules.
Borin is also extremely devoted to her job as an agent of the CGIS and is dedicated to solving any case that she gets whatsoever.
Borin is a tall, lean woman in her late thirties, early forties with pale skin, hazel or brownish eyes as well as blonde, later- dark red, shoulder length hair.
